RUDYARD KIPI.TNG EVEXIXG '- : 'T ...v The ladies of the Lyceum Club held a Kipling evening last Monday night. Members gave various selections from, this famous poet's works when songs, recitations and the readings of select ed poems and prose passages were heard and* enjoyed. Those who gave items were Mrs E. Armstrong, Mrs Rangi, Mrs James, Mi's Littlejohn, Mrs S. Spence, Mrs J. Conolly, Miss Howell and Miss M. Whiteside. Among the audience were: Mrs Appleby, Mrs Keir, Mrs Warner Mrs B. Barry, Mrs Dawson, Mrs R., Boon Mrs Donaldson, Mrs J. Morice, *Mrs C. Thomas, Mrs Drube, Mrs W. Steel, Mrs Eggers, Mrs Otley, Mrs Lucas, Mrs Riddle, Mrs Hopkirk (Te Tcko), Mrs Brabant (senr), Mrs List. Misses. M. Dell, D. Boon, F. Sloan, N. Carlyon, Mullin. Supper was served at the conclusion .
