MILITARY TRAINING
YOUNG FARMERS ADDRESSED EDGECUMBE BRANCH MEETS The monthly meeting of the Edgpcumbe branch of the Young Farmers' Club was held last week, there being an attendance of eleven, hesides the Advisory Presidents, Messrs W. A. McCracken, F. J. Reynolds and lan B. Gow. After general business had been tlis cussed, Captain G. Yeoman, of Taneatua, addressed those present on "The Necessity of Military Training/' The two main subjects he ''Infantry'' and ''Mounted Rifles," were very much appreciated, and before he left* a v °te of thanks tvaS passed by the chairman. Supper was served at the completion of the meeting. All are looking forward to the next club evening on the first Monday lis August.
