WHAKATANE SUB-UNION MEETS ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY The executive of the Whakatane Rugby Sub-Union, met at the Grand Tearooms on Wednesday evening. Therfc was a full representation o£ all clubs* Permission was granted to the Ruatoki club to arrange a< match wittt the Waikite Club, Rotorua, to -he Paroa Club to arrange a match with the Thames representatives at the end of the season at Whakatane. Permission was also sought-by the Taneatua Club to arrange a match with Waihi on July Bth ov loth. . It was pointed out that this would affect the competition but after discussion it was agreed to give permission to the clul> *to play on July 1. The chairman reported that a com. mittee had met the Rangitaiki union and had made satisfactory arrangements for the competition for the Tom Dunderdale Memorial Cup. Accounts amounting to £8 18.s 2tl were passed for payment. The secretary was instructed to -•> make a payment of £10 to the Domain Board for ground rent. SATURDAY'S GAMES The Junior Selectors were appointed managers of the junior representative team, Mr I. Tunui manager of the Junior B team ,and Mr J- , Reardon manager for the A team. The secretary? was instructed to postpasses to the Rangitaiki secretary. It was resolved to make no charge for cars at the match. Mr Henderson said that it was "too solid." They got 7s or 8s from a car load of people and then charged lor the car. .The .question of the time and grounds for the curtain raisers wat* raised. Mr J. T. White moved that the junipr representatives play the curtain raiser on No. 1 ground. This was carried. "When buying jerseys next season we will haye to watch the purchase of foreign stuff. The clubs must watch this, -'' said Mr Henderson when the question of lending the second, set of representative jerseys to Wai, mana was discussed. Mr White warned that care shouM be taken of the jerseys. It might r>e impossible to replace 'them next year. It was decided to lend the second let pf jerseys to Waimana. Confirmation was given to Opot : ki of July 15th as the dnte for the return senior representative g^me. Mr T. Goe (Tancatna> pskod ■ remission to play an Old Buffers g-.uic versus Taneatua juniors and this was granted. Bonkora takes off excess fat. No dieting. Safe, quick reduping. Gal? toJlay. F. G.
