WEDDING
FOGARTY—SISAM
A very pretty wedding of widespread interest took place at St Josu eph"Vj Church Whakatane, on Saturday last, between Kathleen Lorna fJ third daughter of Mr and Mrs L. W.i Sisam, and Geoff ®ey Desmond second son of the late Mr and Mrs .Fogarty of Matamata. Tlie bride who entered the church, on the arm of hen father looked charming in a gown of ivory satins with lace yoke and small Peter Parr* J collar, leg of mutton sleeves long to , the wrists where they ended in a point over the hands and slim-fit--5 ting skirt sweeping away to form a long tapering train inset with lace., She wore a coronet of pearls front which fell the long tulle veil withi satin, embroidery in the corners.. Tfci.v was worn over her face as she entered the church; she carried a sheaf of white rose buds and small chrysanthemums. Over the frock was worit her Children of Mary cloak which two of the girls removed at the altar., In attendance on the bride w r ere her sister Miss Eileen Sisam and Miss Joy Symmans as bridesmaids. Miss Moira and Master Barry Symmans were flow r er girl and page boy respectively. The bridesmaids and flower girl looked charming in their respective' frocks of dark and light cyclamen taffeta made with peaked bodices ami rucked skirts. They wore small round hats and carried muffs to tone. The page boy Avas attired jn a suit of light cyclamen with lace front and | cuffs ! The bridegroom was attended by Mr Sidney Smith of Tauranga as best man and Mr Jack Harris as: groomsman. The ushers Averse Mr H.: Sisam (brother of the bride) and Mr M. Lisit. Tlie ceremony was performed by, the Rev Father Leen and Mrs N.. Carter, aunt of the bride sang "Ave Maria'' when the bridal party reached the altar. On leaving the church the bride and bridegroom passed under a hoop of blue andl white ilowers held by the Children of Mary who formed a guard of honour. Following the ceremony a reception was Held a,t tlie home of the bride's pa.rents where Mrs Sisam received the guests wearing a 'London. Tan frock with brewn accessories.. She carried a posy of autumn shaded flowers. Miss Fogarty the bridegroom's sister wor c a henna costume and carried a posy to tone. Mrs Mcr_ rill, aunt of the bridegroom, was in. a navy frock with a gold front. She carried a posv of pink carnations and sweet peas. When the happy couple left for their honeymoon the bride travelled in a suit of London Tan With matching accessories and carried a fur coat.
