MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED
FAILURE TO NEGOTIATE BEND (P.A.) Auckland, Dec. 18. A motor-cyclist was killed on Saturday night when his machine failed to negotiate a right-hand bend on the Panmure Road, Mount Wellington. He was Mr Samuel Rehua, aged 29, labourer of Mangere Industrial Camp. The motor-cycle, after failing to take the bend, mounted the footpath and crashed through a trellis fence and gate and came to rest in the front garden of No. 422 Panmure Road. Pieces of the trellis from the gate and fence penetrated Mr Rehua’s head and throat and he died ten minutes after the accident.
