SUMMER SPORTS AT COLLEGE

YACHTING SHOUT D HAVE PLACE IN TAURANGA

CLUB TO MEET PRINCIPAL AND STAFF

The opinion that every effort should be made bv the club to have yachting recognised as asummer sport at Tauranga Co'lege was advanced bv Mr J. Denby jnr. at the annual meeting of the Tauranga Ya<mt and Power Boat Club. A lfrge number of the boys at the college were interested in yachting and he thought that there would be a large following. To give these boys ©the hours allowed for sport on the with their boats • would probably be more interesting for them than their taking part in a snort in which they were probably not interested. Mr Denby recommended that a

small deputation from the club shouid wait on the Principal and staff of the college to discuss the matter.
