MILLION AND HALF DOLLARS FOR N.Z. FARM MACHINERY

(Rec. 8.15 a.m.) London, Sept. 11. The New Zealand Government is to allow 1,500,000 dollars to be spent on importing' farm machinery. Most of it is expected to arrive before the end of the year. The Finance Minister (Mr Walter Nash) said today that machinery was needed to heip farmers increase their production of meat and dairy goods to fulfil the agreement made with Great Britain last year. One of the main items to be imported will be hay-making machinery.
