Guest Speakers At Tauriko

Work Of Tauranga Local Bodies (Times Correspondent) The quest speaker at the last meeting of the Tauriko Women's Institute were Mesdames R. H. Faulkner and A. T. Stenhouse, who gave addresses on the Hospital Beard and the Borough Council. The first letter from the link in England was read by the secretary, Mrs Allen. Mrs S. Boyer gave a report on the'Drama Festival. The golden thread series was taken by Miss D. Morriss—a story of the Mission House and the Maori Wars. The roll-call, "A house-hold or gardening hint." was well responded to. Mrs Mcintosh gave a reading on stately mansions in England. Competitions resulted: Marmalade. Mrs Walton 1, Mrs Mcintosh 2: large bloom, Mrs G. Ward 1. Mrs K. Walton 2; small bloom, Mrs McGregor 1. Mrs Walton 2. The judges were Mesdames Faulkner and Stenhouse. Supper was served by thp hostesses, Mrs G. Kiddie and Miss E. Kiddie.
