The Chief Marshall P'an Administrator (Mr Paul Hoffman) who is visiting Europe, had a talk in Paris today with the heads of the ..organisation for European Economic Cooperation. He again urged the need.for increased exports to-the dollar area to aid European recovery and said that European .Governments must help manufacturers to win and hold

a nlace in the American markets. In an interview with a correspondent. Mr Hoffman explained his statement yesterday that European countries could not solve their dol'ar problems simply by cutting imports. Sometimes there was nothing to be done but to cut imports, he said, and he knew Great Britain was right in doing that.

"I was talking yesterday from the long-term point of.view, as a matter of general policy." the administrator said. '
