(P.A.) Wellington, Aug. 17. Information concerning the reasons for the increasing number of resignations from the police force was sought in the House of Representatives by Mr W. A. Shoal (Opposition— Patea). In a question to the Minister in charge of the Police Department. Mr Frascr, Mr Shcat asked whether any steps were proposed for arresting the exodus from the force of experienced men by removing causes of disatisfaction which had produced the present situation. Mr Sheat said it. had been reported that over 300 men, mostly of considerable experience, had left Ihe force during the past three years, and 1 hat. the drain was a continuing one.
