The French Prime Minister, M, Queuille, warned the National Assembly tonight that he would resign unless the budget was passed. The debate on the budget has been going on for four days. _ .. It has been marked by increasing argument between the finance committee and the administration, which is trying to push through a record budget of about £2,000,000.000. The latest demand by the finance, committee has been for a cut of about £35,000,000 in the new taxes demanded by the Prime Minister for reconstruction purposes. { Before the National Assembly started to consider the budget proposals in detail this afternoon there was a meeting of the French Cabinet. A Paris correspondent says that as a result of this meeting the Prime Minister decided to take a strong line in the Assembly if opnosition to the budget continues. the Paris radio announced tonight that during an adjournment of the budget debate the Socialist groups decided to vote for the Government’s budget proposals.
