BIRTHDAY PARTY AT

APATA

The .Anet' 1 Women’s Institute held their 13th Birthday Partv at the home of Mrs Collins of Pahnia last week. Visitors were welcomed from Mount Maunganui, Tauranga South. Omckoroo, Acngatete and Bethlehem.

The birthday cake, which was made bv Mrs Collins, was cut by the president. Mrs Swaine. who was presented with beautiful floral gifts from the visiting institutes. Partw games caused much amusement, and a ouiz was won by the Omokoroa Institute. The president thanked members for their generous response to the appeal for children’s clothes for the victims of the Gisborne floods. Competitions resulted' —knitted article, Mrs Brown 1. Mesdames Swaine and McClinchie canal 2; host, bloom. Mrs Swaine 1, Mrs Whitehead 2.
