AUCKLAND PROVINCE PATIENTS Situation In Tauranga Unchanged Position In Other Areas There are six paralysis patients in the Tauranga Public Hospital, one being the 29-year-old single woman of Tauranga who was placed in an artificial respirator (an iron lung) on Sunday afternoon, soon after her admission to hospital. Other paralysis patients in the Tauranga hospital are a 12-year-old girl from the Te Puke district, a boy aged three from Otamarakau, a girl aged six from Katikati, a girl aged 17 from Te Puke and a Maori boy aged 17 from Pongakawa. The 12-year-old girl from Bayswater who was admitted as a suspected case of infantile paralysis was yesterday diagnosed as "positive. The only other additional patient in the hospital was a child who was readmitted for further treatment. There were 47 positive cases and three suspects in the Auckland hospital last night. A further case from Davgavillc was reported yesterday. This was a girl aged seven years, a cousin of a patient diagnosed as positive last week.
A nian aged 21 from Frankton and an eight-year-old boy from Waharoa verr reported as positive cas°s in the South Auckland health district yesterday. They brought the number of eases in the district since the outbreak to 93."
