SEARCH PARTY IN RUAHINE RANGES

(P.A.) Dannevirke, April 4. A party of officers from the Ohakea Air Force station, a constable and three civilians, went into the Ruahine, Ranges to investigate reports of a “strange object which might be an aeroplane wing.” The object was said to be in a valley on the western side of the dome opposite Dannevirke. The party’s efforts to find it were 'foiled, by wet weather and poor visibility. Another attempt will be made when weather conditions are more favourable.
