IMMIGRANTS FROM BRITAIN

GOVERNMENT’S ASSISTANCE SCHEME

(P.A.) Wellington, Jan. 12. With the arrival early next month of 720 immigrants from Britain a total of 1320 will have been brought to New Zealand under the Government’s current scheme of assisted immigration, according to figures\ iust released by the Immigration Division of the National Service Department. Those due next month comprise 500 who will arrive by the Atlantis about February 7, and 220 by the Rangitata a little later.
