POWER BOARD WORK
FIFTY-EIGHT SERVICE LINES ERECTED ENGINEER’S REPORT TO MONTHLY MEETING Reporting to the monthly meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board, the engineer (Mr J. R. Bongard) stated that during the period from June 13 to July 23, a total of 58 service lines was erected. The engineer said that the extension to Hull Road, Mount Maunganui, was completed and would be connected to the supply shortly. An extension was erected .at Katikati to give supply to the new casein factory. A consignment of 489 poles had arrived and had been distributed at the Tauranga, Aongatete and Rangiuru dumps. The small number still outstanding were due to arrive shortly. General maintenance was carried cut in different parts of the district stated the engineer. On June 21, a severe storm occurred, causing interruption to the supply in the Cambridge Road and Belk Road districts. Only minor troubles were experienced in other parts of the board’s areas.
