SUDDEN DEATH
PRIME MINISTER OF SWEDEN Stockholm, Oct. 6. The Prime Minister of Sweden, M. Albin Hansson, collapsed and died in a suburban street while walking home from a meeting.
M. Hansson, who was born in 1885, worked as a shop assistant before becoming a journalist in 1909. He became editor of Socialdemokraten in 1914 and a Member of Parliament in 1918. He was Minister of Defence in 1920 and from 1921 to 1923 and 1924 to 1926. He became leader of the Social Democrat Party in 1925 and Prime Minister in 1932.
