One of (lie first British passenger shills built since the war went down the slipways to-day at a shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness. It was built, for a New Zealand company and the deputy-Primo Minister of New Zealand 1 , Mr Walter Nash, who was present, said, ‘‘There’s 'nothing that Britain can provide that we cannot buy, particularly ships.”
