Mother: “Mrs Jones, let’s not talk while we are both angry. Yon think my Bill was responsible for this trouble and naturally, I think he was not entirely to blame. Let’s separate the boys for a while but not try to talk this over.”

Mother (to neighbour): “You’re always picking on my boy. No wonder he was sassy to you. Go home and take your child with you!” (To son): “I’m going to wash out your mouth for talking ugly to Mrs Jones.”
When parents of quarrelling children get angry at each other, how can they expect to teach their children to live peacefully?
