CHIEFS OF STAFF CONFER
London, August 17. British and United States Chiefs of Staff had another long conference ill Quebec yesterday. Mr Churchill has issued an offi cial denial of a statement attributed to him by one of the Quebec newspapers which is published in French. This newspaper stated that Mr Churchill had said that the war would be over in six months. The statement made by the paper was based on a misunderstanding.
