76 DAYS IN OPEN LIFEBOAT

New York, Feb. 2

Although too weak to give a coherent account, William Collon, an American seaman,' rescued after 76 days in. an open lifeboat, said his ship was torpedoed off West Africa. The lifeboat originally carried 20, of whom 15 died before rescue. Four died aboard the ship which took Collon to Trinidad.
