MUSICAL RECITAL
PUPILS ENTERTAIN A delightful musical evening was held at the studio of E. Florence Wfyitlock, M..R.S.T. (London), on Wednesday evening last. There were mapy friends present, including Mr F. W. Doidge,-M.P., and Mrs Doidge. Mrd Doidge presented the prizes for 1942, and the programme was much enjoyed. At the conclusion of the recital « supper was served and much praise was extended to Mrs Whitlock for the'way her pupils had performed. Tjhe sum of £2 2s, the result of the] evening's' entertainment, has beef handed over to the Red Cross, whijbh is very much in need of funds. The following was the programme;—National Anthem; Pianoforte solos, waltz, "In Vienna Woods," M. Ronayne; "Le Caprice de Nanette,". "Demande et Response," W. Boake; "Coronach," P. Green; 'Cello solos, "Liebestraum," "Largo," Imelda Austin; pianoforte solo, "The Piper," W. Boak; cello solos, "Che faro senza Eurydice." impromptu, Tony Bongard; sonata for 'cello and piano, Tony Bongard, Imelda Austin, E. F. Whitlock; violin solo 3, "Hungarian Dance," "Air on G String," E. F. Whitlock; accompanists, Mrs N. K. P. Green and W. Boak.
