YOUNG PEOPLE’S CLUB
SECOND MEETING HELD
REARRANGEMENT OP GROUPS
On Wednesday, May 13, the members of the Young People’s Club and their leaders assembled at Hayman’s Hall to hold their second meeting. On the suggestion of Miss Stephenson it Avas decided that the club be knoAvh as the “Pro-Rex,” meaning “for Kings.”
After a feAV minutes spent in the rearrangement of groups, the members proceeded to their respective rooms, Avhere, during the following hour, they pursued their various activities. Then follOAved the social and dance hour. Avhen Miss Stephenson demonstrated nvo American dances, which proved exceedingly popular. The latter part of the evening Avas spent in the election of a committee consisting of lavo members from each group, the members from the physical culture groups to be elected next Aveek. It Avas decided that the office of chairman should be a “roving” position in order that all committee members might become familiar with the conducting of meetings.
The committee consists of the following: Art group, E. Faulkner. P. Harper; musical group, E. McCullough, R. Grigg (clerk) ; debating group. E. O'Brien, R. Barraclough . drama group, G. Mackie (secretary)’ G. Wilkinson: youths' physical culture group, F. Robins (chairman). The next meeting of the club will be held on AA’ednesday, May 27, at 7.15 p.m., at Dayman's Hall.
