OFFICERS FROM RANKS
In future, every candidate for a commission in the Canadian Army must pass through the ranks, Defence Minister J. L. Ralston told the House of Commons in Canada the other day.
This decision, he said, was Jarrived at „ after a review of officers' Qualifications and was expected to improve the standards. •He said the system was based on experiences in the World War-and the present practice' of the -British Army.
