Reasons —Why?
Glenn Ford, rising screen favourite, has his own reasons for not dating Hollywood actresses.
Ford currently playing one of the featured roles in Columbia’s “Blondie Plays Cupid” says he would rather go to dinner with one of him home town (Santa Monia) girls than haunt Hollywood hot spots for movie cuties.
Here’s his reasons why: 1. To be seen with an actress in a public place is tantamount to announcing your engagement. 2. When you date an actress, you’re always ducking and blinking in the glare of flash bulbs. 3. Movie mothers are bad enough. Think what a movie-mother-in-law would mean.
4. Privacy doesn’t exist when you date a glamour girl. 5. If an actress is working in a picture it’s a 9.3 0 kiss and goodnight.
6. Friends start calling you by her last name.
7. It takes an actress twice as long to make up as other women. 8. And —they are more interested in talking about their last picture than yours!
