BASKETBALL
YANKEE TOURNAMENT Owing to the wet afternoon no Basketball games were played on the Domain last week-end. This weekend the Yankee Tournament will be concluded and great interest should centre round some of the games, especially as the High School OldGirls’ Team has a two-point lead. Play commences at 1.45 p.m., and the amended drawis as follows: Court 1. —Terriers v. School A, H.S.O.G. v. Whaka, School A v. Rovers, Kiatoa v. Tuis, Rovers v. Matakana, Tuis v. Terriers, Te Puna v. School A, H.S.O.G. v. Tuis, Te Puna V. H.S.O.G. Court 2. —Te Puna v. Huimai, Huimai v. Kiwi, Kiatoa v. Terriers, Terriers v. Te Puna, School A v'. School B, Whaka v. School B, Huimai v. School B, Matakana v. Kiatoa. Court 3. —Matakana v. Tuis, United v. Mataka’na, Huimai v. Whaka, Rangataua v. H.5.0.G., Whaka v. United, Kiatoa v. Rangataua, Rovers v. Kiwi, United v. Kiwi, Rangataua v. Rovers.
Court 4. —Rangataua v. Kiwi
Referees: Mrs Johnson, Mrs Gaulton, Misses Wilton, Martin, Naylor and Mr Holloway. , •
Arrangements are well in hafid for the close of the season play on September 21, and for the dance to be held in the evening.
