QUEEN CARNIVAL

CORONATION CEREMONY An advertisement to-day gives full details of the Coronation ceremony to be held on Thursday in the. Town Hall. Mr Lints is the director of the ceremony. Mrs Meikle who of the Robes, has three Queens, six Maids of Honour, and six flower girls to dress, in addition to the usual Court dignataries. A rehearsal ,is being held to-morrow afternoon. Mr Frank Easson is directing the orchestra and Mr David Clark is to sing “Land of Hope and Glory.” The Mayor will perform the crowning ceremony, Mr J. L. McCullough is Lord High Chamberlain and several Knighthoods will be conferred. The ceremony will be followed by a dance for which McDougall’s Orchestra has been engaged.
