CYCLIST INJURED
COLLIDES WITH HORSE Two nights ago John Phillips was cycling to town from Fraser Street to attend a St. John Ambulance leeture when he collided in an unusual way with a horse. The cyclist saw a man coming and swerved, but found too late that the man was leading a horse. He was violently thrown, and received injuries to his head and severe bruises to his arm and shoulders. He was taken home and is now progressing quite well. Only a short time before, the boy’s sister, Jean Phillips, was struck by a car when walking in the same locality. The car did not stop, but fortunately the girl suffered only minor cuts The light at the Morris Street corner has been out for some time we are informed, and therefore it is, a very dark spot.
