PRESENTATION
TO MR HARRY GRAHAM Local business firms were well represented at a farewell function tendered to Mr Harry Graham in the Bell Tea Rooms last night. Mr H. J. G. Allen referred to the impending departure of Mr Graham from the town and wished him success in his future home in Whakataoue. On behalf of the local grocers he presented Mr Graham with a smoker's stand.
Mr Denis Ivory, speaking for the Chamber of Commerce, and Mr R. R. O'Hara, Secretary of the Chamber, endorsed the remarns made by Mr Allen.
Mr Graham suitably replied and said the gift would always serve to remind him of his cordial relations with the business community of Tauranga. He would be taking a holiday in the South Island and would then take over a business in Whakatane.
During the evening a tine series of pictures was screened by Mr F. Briggs and was mucTt appreciated. Refreshments were dispensed and at the close all present extended best wishes to Mr Graham.
