RIFLE SHOOTING.

FLOYD CHAMPIONSHIP BELT. The third shoot for the Floyd Championship Belt and Macmillan Gold Medal was fired on the local range on Saturday last. The ranges were 300 yards, 500 yards- and 600 yards. The conditions were tricky, but. nevertheless good scores were registered. Rifleman. Kiddie . was top score for the day with an aggregate of 133 points. Others who shot well were Rifleman J, Spratley, 132 points, and Rifleman H. Oliver, 131 points, respectively. The following were the scores for the day: 300 500,600

Oliver 41 38 34 113 By eliminating the weakest shoot of the leading men for the Championship Belt to date and leaving the remaining two shoots, we find Kiddie well ahead of the next man by a margin of 10 points. The following are the two best shoots to date: Kiddie 137, 134 (271); Alf. Oliver 133, 128 (261); B. Johnston, 131, 129 (12,60); H. Oliver, 428, 131 (259). There is still one shoot for the Belt.' The final shoot for the President’s Handicap Cup will be fired on the local range next Saturday. The ranges will be 500 yards and 600 yards. Shooting will commence at 1.30 p.m. ;
