DISASTROUS HAIL.

MANY PEOPLE THROWN’ OUT OF WORK. The fruit-growing centre of Kecskemet (Hungary) recently suffered an unprecedented disaster in the form of a hailstorm which has annihilated the harvest. Twenty-five thousand persons have been thrown out of employment, among them 12,000 vine-dressers, whose vines are totally destroyed.
