POUND DAY.

To-day was pound day at the Relief Committee’s depot in WilloW Street, the response with contributions of produce and goods, was, unfortunately, poor. To-morrow will be distribution day, but, so far the supplies will not be equal to meet the needs of those who require help. Saturday next will also be pound day and any charitable residents who have donations of any kind they would like to give may send their contributions to the depot between 10.30 and 4 p.m., or may ring telephone No. 154. The need for reliief is urgent.
