POSTAL OFFICERS
- AFFILIATION WITH ALUANCE OF LABOUR. * (Per Press Association—^Copyright.) , Wellington, April 13. , Mr Combs, permanent secretary, of the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association addressed a large meet- , ing of members of the Wellington section last night. He said members of the association had been clearly advised of the issue before they voted. He claimed that unless the Alliance of Labour vraa proved to be an illegal body the association had the’right to affiliate with it, if it desired to. At present the association had three legal opinions to the effect that the Alliance was not illegal. The meeting passed a resolution of confidence in the permanent secretary and urged the-executive to proceed with plans to affiliate with the Alliance of Labour.
