A KATIKATI SUBDIVISION

PORTION OF ME YEO’S LAND At the meeting of the County Council on Friday a letter was read from Mr M. F, Haszard, surveyor, Wailii, who forwarded scheme plan of a proposed subdivision of a portion of Mr Yeo’s land at Katikati, for the consideration of the Council. It is proposed to dedicate the road, as shown on plan, giving access to the Uretara River, and if by any possibility it was required in the future there is a good site for a bridge. It is "also proposed to set aside la Or 26p adjoining this road as a public reserve. This reservecontains some very fine trees and adjoins what is locally; known as the swimming pool. If the Council approves of the plan the endorsement of consent was asked for. Cr Hume moved : That the matter be referred to the engineer, and if approved of by him that the scheme plan be approved. The motion was seconded by Cr Lochhead and carried.
