AT PRILL CUP MATCH. The first match in the second louud cl the Attrill Cup was played at To Puke on Saturday, tlie 'Pe Puke eleven defeating the Tauranga eleven by an innings and 15 inns. Te Puke had first knock and. i J ter losing Berquist in the second ever Halle and Wilson put on 70 ior the second wicket, Ralfe eventually being bowled by McKay for a , good innings of t>3. Chadban ‘-on afterwards disturbed Wilson’s Mumps for a very patient effort of - L Hone of the other batsmen troubled the bowlers much, with the exception of Anderson, who was unde leated at the close of the innings for a well played 34 compiled without a chance. On Tauranga going to the wickets the bowlers at once a turned the upper hand and none looked like making runs, the side bring disposed of for 18. On Tauranga following on things looked better, Renshaw and Goulding putting on 70 for the first wicket, when Goulding was bowled: by Montgomery. Renshaw soon after was bowled by Anderson. The rest of the side, with the exception of McKay (15), again failed, leaving Tc Puke easy winners, as stated. A usual the Te Puke fielding and catching was ahead of Tauranga's. A side' that will not hold catches certainly will not win matches.
