Rec April 11, morning Washington, April 9 The hydrographic office of the Navy Department is co operating with the Japanese, Canadian ; and British Governments in mapping two of the most favourable courses for the North Pacific heavy traffic, as the present single route is increasing the possibilities of steamship collisions. The proposed changes chiefly affect Canada, the United States, and Japan.
