REDUCED TRAIN SERVICE
Commencing on. Monday nest a reduced train service will bo run on the line between Matata and the Mount. At present there are two trains fach way daily, but from Monday there will only bo one train each day, with an additional train on sttamer days. A train will leave Matata daily at 8 a.m., returning from the Mount tin Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2 p.m. On the other three dap Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays—the train will not leave till four o’clock as at present. On steamer days —Tuesdays' and Fritrain will leave Mount in the morning at 8 o’clock as at present, reaching Matata at 11, and returning at 1 p.m. (instead of 2 p.m. as now) and arriving at the Mount at 3.50,
So far as can be ascertained this time-table will operate at least until the Ngupuhi resumes her running three* days per week. This alteration in the railway-time-table has of course necessitated an alteration in the ferry service, and the new time-table for that service i.s as advertised.
