RIFLE SHOOTING
The opening shoot of the season took place on Thursday afternoon for Captain W. P. Bell's trophy. There was a good muster of members, and the shooting was good, considering the weather conditions. A very strong wind was blowing in the earlier part of the afternoon, but was less severe at the five hundred yards' range. Floyd was top, off the rifle, apd when his handicap was added he became an easy winner He put on the best target t00—43 for ten shots, using four feet of windage at 500 yards. ; Following are the scores:— 300500HPTI RiflmT.Floyd 42 43 4 89 "H.
