Kec Jan 14, 12 35 p m Washington, Jan 13 The United Press Association's Rome correspondent states that it is believed that the Vatican will draw the attention of the Austrian Emperor to President Wilson's speech, the Vatican suggesting that the Emperor should endeavour to induce the Kaiser to consider terms of place. Rome, Jau 11. The Osservatore Koraano, in an inspired article, points out the fundamental agreement of President Wilson's speech with the Pope's ljeace appeal The paper declares that the toad to early peace is open, and; implies that the responsibility for peace no* rests with the German people.
