HAMILTON SALE.
At Hamilton yards, on Bth .January, tho Farmers' Co operative Auctioneering; Company, Limited, had a full yarding of stock comprising 132 pigs, 2748 sheep, 227 head of fat cattle, chiefly cows, 230 mixed store cattle and 354 calves. Pigs sold well,' weaners 12s to 17s Gel, slips 20s to 30.3, porkers o[)s to 10s Fat sheep were not required, a few wethers made 19s fi 1 to 2 Is, and a few ewes 10s to 1 7s. Store sheep were in good request, two tooth wethers Ms la to 15s 9d, two and four rtooth wethers 10s (id, two tooth ewes 15s 9d to. lGs, firward lambs 12s Od, store lambs 10s 3d. Fat cattle sold well, small 'steers £8 2s 0d to £9.105, fat-cows £5 5s to £8, fresh cows £4 lOito £5. store cows £3 to £3 U)s, 18 months heifers £3 15a to. £-1 7s6d, veal calves 30s to '10s. There was a fair enquiry for good weaner calves at 27s to 355 ; medium calves 20s to 255, smaller not saleable. Buggy, pair of ponies and harness made £50.
