A MISSIONARY'S END.
Berlin, May 6. The retired missionary Lieb, who died suddenly and left an unsuspected hoard of treasures in a chest, was found to have been poisoned with atrophine, the alkaloid extract from belladonna. His correspondence showed that lie had recently been in communication with marriage brokers, and had been advertising for a wife. Received at 10 a.m. Berlin. May 7. Experts have exploded the story of missionary Lieb's fabulous wealth. The gems discovered in his cabinet were mostly imitations and valueless.
