TAURANGA-ROTORUA TELEPHONE.
Mr D. B. Day, hon. secretary of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce, wrote to the County Council yesterday re the Tauranga-Rotorua telephone service, stating that the guarantors for the amount required by the Telegraph Department for the Tauranga portion of the proposed line are:— -Tauranga Sawmilling Co., Ltd./ £10; Messri Blundell Bros., £1; Mr A. E. Putt, £1; Mr A. Dickie, £1; Captain Scantlebury, £1;/Mr J. C. Adams, £ U total, £15. Mr Day said he trusted this would be satisfactory to the Council. The Council decided to accept tn* guarantee.
