KEIR HARDIE SPEAKS

Mr Koir Hardie, speaking at Bristol, suggested that Mr Balfour's demand to increase ihe navy was advanced, as he believed was the caso with the naval scare of 1908, by piearrangement with the Government. There wera cries of "Ob ! No." Continuing, Mr Hardie eaid that those crying " no " had not been connected with politics as long as he had. The scare of 1908 was ignored until Sir Grey McKenna and Mr Asquith gave colour and countenance to it.
