■ At Wsstfieid on Thursday last there was a small yarding of dairy and s-ore cattle. Dairy cows and heifers sold at from £4 to £8 ss, empty cows £1 18s to £2 105, calves to £1 Bs, sheep 9s to 14s 3d. At the Wesltield Yards on Wednesday fat catt'e- were yarded in usual numbers, and prices were lower Lbati last week's quotations. Ox b.*ef soldat from 21 a to. 235, cows and heifers 17s to 2O.«; steers sold at from £5 17* Gd to £13 17s 6d, cows and heifers £4 to £8 7s Cd. Calves in usual numbers sold at late rates, prices ranging from 3s to £2 7s. ; bhet-p were yaroed m less numbers than usual and prices wera on a par with last week. Heavy wethers sold at from 23s to 255, others 1/s 'o 20* (one small peD of extra heavy Mothers realised 30s 6d). Extra heavy ewes sold at from 20s to 22s 9d, others 13s to 18s Lambs were yarded in good numbers and sold under steady competition at advanced rates. Extra well fatted 14s to 17s, others 8s to 13s. pies were penned in average numbers and sold well up to last vwek'o rates. No baconers were yarded. Porkeis sold at from £1 10a to £2 3s, weaners 0s Gd to 13s. Wool- Coarse crossbred, 6.1 dto crutchings, 3£d to Gd, locks and pieces, 3d to sd. ' Barley : Selling freely at 2s 8d ex Bran: In good demand at £4 10s Selling freely at £6 cb ex store. , Butter: Choice lOid, Ist. grade 9id to lOd, 2nd. grade 9d.
