TO THE EDIIOB. Sib, — I see, on reading the report of the County Council meeting, when the question of Maketu - Rotorua road was being considered in Coudtal, Councillor Pratt, objected to spending rates on same on account of it sot being a main road. Now, bit, if this is not a main road I should like to know what constitutes a main road, seeing that it is about six miles of the Maketu end of the Eotorua-Maketa road. Then it is the only road that over 30 of us have to get to our port, Maketu. Now, fir, how Councillor Pratt can say this is only a b t ve-road I fail to see, — I am, etc., T. N. Dipbose.
