GARDEN FETE.
The Garden Fete held in the Domain on Monday last in connection with the Church of England passed off without a hitch. The day was fine and there was a fairly good attendance. The foot races, of course, were the main attraction, but the refreshment stall came in for a good deal of attention. The following is a list of the winners of the various events : — Hukdle Handicap, 150 yards. — S. Darragh, 1; A. Matheson, 2. Giblß Race, 100 yards, 15 yeais and under. — Miss O. Norris, 1 ; Miss M. Maroney, 2. Handicap Flat, Ist Heat, 100 yards. —A. Matheson, 1 ; H. Clark, 2 ; A. Asher, 3. Pole Jump. — Keri and Swainson, 1. Open Race, 150 yards. —S. Darragh, 1 ; W. Bickers, 2. High Jump, for boys 16 years and under. — M. Hulme. Handicap Flat, 2nd Heat, 200 yards. — H. Clark, I ; A. Matheson, 2 ; W. Bickers, 3. Sack Race.— H. Tanner. Handicap Flat, 3rd Heat, 300 yards. — H. Clark. 1 ; A. Matheson, 2 ; W. Bickers, 3. Boys Race, 100 yards. —M. Hulme, 1 ; H. Hulme, 2. Hobse High* Jump. — S. Darragh.
