Fire.

Auckland, Tuesday. — A fire took place this morning in an eight-rOomed dwelling house in O'Rorke Street, owned by Herman Brown. Brown Barrett and Co's building was partially gutted before the brigade succeeded is suppressing the flames. The Salvage Corps was instrumental in saving the furniture. Nothing is kudwn as to the fire no one was living in the bouse, the previous tenant, G. S. Graham, having changed two months ago, leaving his furniture in the house. He returned to the place yesterday afternoon to show a prospective tenant over the premises and everything was safe then. Graham's furniture was insured in the Norwich Union for £700.
