Dastardly outrage.
Napier, Thursday.—As the express train was steaming into Napier station last night the engine came into contact with a large stone placod on the rails near the gas works, severely shaking the engine and breaking across the break shaft which connects the steam break, also doing other slight damage to the machinery. This mormng Detective Kirby arrested a youth named Adam Crowe charged with having committed the. act. .;'■■!
