ROTORUA.
We have received a nicely fllumwated card with the compliments of the season, from the Officers of the Rotqrua branch of the New Zealand Railways. These good wishes we reciprocate niost lieartily, apcl desire to say that burcolumiis are at all times open to further the interests of the Officers and men in the Government •service. Lawn tennis is i& full swing. Is a game which is all the more enjoyable because both ladies and gentlemeiv can take part in it. It is a treat to walk in the Sanatorium grounds just now, -as the flowers, shrubs and lawns look splendid. Theidalfroy Geysers areas playful as ever.,... . _■=.._.; , : j'.;u { v ■;■.■•.•. .■->-W.W *■■ We understand that the new Hospital will Be opened in the beginning of the year. The roads from all parts are now in very good order, and the Coach trips are now done in quick time. Enquiries are being made as to railway facilities for New Zealandera obtaining pleasure excursions during the Christmas holidays. So far we have heard of no special arrangements. In the old country posters and hand .bills are distributed weeks before, thus enabling to arrange for a holiday, and thereby recruit there health, Christmas being the most convenient time for many. But this is nothing new so far as the Auckland rail*' way section is concerned.
