TAURANGA JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the members of theTauranga Jockey Club took place on Tuesday evening, at the Commercial Hotel, to receive nominations for the T.J.C. Handicap, Handicap Hurdles, and Publicans' Purse Handicap. The following members were present — Messrs J. Ellis (chairman), E. Home, E C. Jordan, E. 0. Fraser, David Asher, E. Eobson, J. B. Jackson, A. Snodgrass, and E. Sheppard (secretary). The minutes of the last meeting having been read and confirmed, the following nominations were received —

T.J.O. HANDICAP,

Eifleman, Bregalia, Eevolver, Welcome Davy, Snake, Clown, Lazarus, Lady Sarah, Eevenge, and Marquis.

HANDICAP HURDLES,

Naughty Boy, Whalebone, Revenge, and Marquis.

publicans' purse,

Rifleman, Bregalia, Revolver, Welcome Davy, Sweep, Ma Petite Fille, Snake, Clown, Lady Parah, Lazarus, Revenge, and Marquis.

As further nominations are expected from the Coast, it was resolved, on a motion by Mr D. Asher, seconded by Mr Eraser, that any registered letter containing nominations for the handicaps, and posted on the 27th, be accepted. The weights will be declared on the 29th (this evening). • This closed the business of the meeting.
